This is the most recent discovery from Mexico, where we find the famous ancient ruins of Teotihuacan.
While the ruins themselves are fascinating, we’re not here to discuss them. We are here to discuss the 1,600-year-old skeleton found nearby by a woman.
The images show that the skull is long, which can be seen as a sign of royalty.
If that weren’t enough this skull also appears to have mineral stones encrusted inside of her teeth which is quite shocking, to say the least as it is one of the first cases of this sort we’ve ever encountered.
As was the custom back then, she is believed to have died from natural causes around 35-40 years ago.
Her body was also discovered by the team, along with 19 jars filled with offerings. This strongly supports the theory she was an ancient figure.
National Anthropology and History Institute claimed that her skull had been manipulated before she was born in order for her to have an elongated face.
What’s even more impressive about her aesthetic though is the two round pyrite stones that appeared to have been encrusted inside of her top front teeth.
The Mayans were extremely advanced though, as it appears like the teeth were perforated in such a way that the pulp inside wasn’t damaged in the slightest.
