It’s amazing how many old sites there are on Earth that most of us have never heard of. When it comes to ancient civilizations, most people only think of the Sphinx and the Great Pyramids of Egypt.
Others who are more knowledgeable can recall the megalithic monument at Stonehenge or the Mayan pyramids. A true history enthusiast, on the other hand, is drawn to the subject of forgotten old civilizations.
When we think about lost civilizations, we think of names like Gobekli Tepe in Turkey, which scientists estimate to be 12,000 years old. The megalithic structures of Gobekli Tepe remain a mystery to this day.
