This 5.5 Million-Years-Old Ancient Untouched Cave Has Its Own Atmosphere – Scientists Just Opened It

The Movile Cave, an ancient cave dating back to 5.5 million years, was discovered in southern Romania. You could assume it’s just another cave system in the countryside, but you’d be mistaken; there’s quite a difference here, to say the least.

The primary point we’ll discuss today is that this cave has a completely different atmosphere from the rest of the globe since it has evolved independently of the rest of the world.

It is now isolated from the outside world, which has made it quite the duckling. This duckling has a reduced oxygen content of seven to ten per cent, compared to the normal twenty-one.

Not only that, but the carbon dioxide itself has the potential to kill millions of people in only five to six hours, making this one of the most dangerous discoveries we’ve ever come across.

That’s not all; over 48 new species have been identified here so far, none of which can be found anywhere else on the planet.

That’s exactly, if you tried to examine them by plucking them out, you’d end up with a lot of dead corpses, to put it mildly. We are confident that experts have tried.

Rich Bowden deserves our gratitude for discovering the vast majority species that evolved here independently, and we owe him this.
