It’s amazing how many old sites there are on our globe that most people have never seen or heard about.
When most of us think of vanished ancient civilizations, we imagine archaeological ruins like Egypt’s Pyramids or even the Great Sphinx.
The circular arrangement of stones at Stonehenge in England, as well as Salisbury Plain, come to mind. Ancient South American landmarks, such as Machu Picchu and the Sacsayhuaman Wall in Peru, may also come to mind. Not to mention the ancient Aztec and Mayan empires, as well as the Mesoamerican pyramids.
However, for those who are more familiar with the subject of Lost Ancient Civilizations, or for those who just want to learn more about it… Other, lesser-known ancient archaeological locations may spring to mind for them.
For example, the site of Gobekli Tepe in Turkey, which is 12,000 years old and the world’s oldest known Megalithic site, remains a complete mystery.
So, while some of the places I just mentioned are unfamiliar to the majority of people, there are other ancient locations that are virtually unknown to the general public, such as the ones I’ll be discussing in this video.
These facts will undoubtedly make you reflect on how little we know about our ancient history, and, more importantly, how much remains to be discovered – and within our lives.
I’ll start with a situation that you may have heard about last week in the news. The intriguing finding of ancient ruins hidden and undiscovered for at least 3.400 years in Mosul, Iraq.
