The Bizarre Face Of Harakbut – It May Be The Ancient Guardian Of The Legendary City Of El Dorado!

El Dorado is a mythological metropolis that is supposed to have been a high-tech civilization on Earth. For decades, hundreds of people sought in vain for the city described in legend as being built of gold.

Those who believe that the tale is based on fact believe that the city of Paititi (El Dorado) and its riches may be located in the mountainous forests of southeastern Peru’s Madre de Dios district.

The Harakbut Face is a holy place in the Harakbut civilization found in the Amarakaeri Communal Reserve, Madre de Dios (Peru). It is an outstanding rock totem that, with complete clarity, depicts a human face that piques the interest of the few passing tourists and investigators.

They name it Incacok, which means “Inca Face” in Harakbut, the indigenous Amarakaeri language. According to Harákbut elders’ accounts, there are two bigger monolithic faces in the forest, linked by ancestral underground routes that led to a huge ancestral metropolis, probably “El Dorado,” but all who understood how to access them have already died.

The location is considered sacred by the aboriginal inhabitants; access is difficult; the area is remote and inaccessible; and to get there, you must cut your way through a path of rock and mud, in the midst of high humidity, and encounters with pumas, jaguars, large snakes, and insects of all kinds.

The rock with the Harakbut Face in the Amarakaeri reserve was rediscovered by the Harakbut ethnic group, of the same name, to use it as a cultural weapon in the conservation of its territory, the enormous face with Andean features is at the top of a great waterfall that pours its waters into a lagoon. The ancient guy carved in the rock has a serious expression on his face.
