There’s no denying that Peru is a fantastic location for archeological discoveries. So far, many of discoveries have been uncovered in Peru, but none are as amazing as Ollantaytambo’s mystery steps.
Experts have stated that they were erected by the Incas about 2,792 meters above sea level, and that they could not have been created by human labor, which utterly contradicts what we know about their culture today. Some people believe they were created by aliens, while others believe they were made by the Incan civilization’s genius.
But, if they had the technology, why wouldn’t they apply it to their other constructions as well?
In case you didn’t know, Ollantaytambo was also no ordinary site; it was Emperor Pachacuti’s royal estate, and it was reputedly created to withstand the conquests that were taking place at the time.
Because the Spanish invasions would destroy everything in their way, Manco Inca Yupanqui, the Inca resistance’s leader, picked this location as a fortress for future fights. For a reason, he was famed for his military skill.
