Archaeologists Found a Strange 3,400-Year-Old Ancient Empire After Water Receding

The Mittani Empire is one history’s most intriguing civilizations. However, the University of Tubingen has recently reported the discovery of a 3.400-year old palace by a consortium of Turkish and German archaeologists.

Hasan Ahmed Qasim claims that this is one of most important archaeological discoveries, and also a testament to the German-Turkish mission’s success.

Researchers may be able to use this discovery as a starting point for learning more about the fascinating ancient society.

The Mittani Empire is one the Ancient Near East’s lesser-known civilizations. Last year, experts discovered ancient civilization ruins in the Tigris River’s receding waters.

Ten cuneiform clay tablets were saved by the crew. They also found the remains of painted walls. Although murals were quite common in Ancient Times it was rare to find one in such good condition.

We hope the tablets will reveal more information about the fascinating Empire that once ruled over the Near East. We welcome your comments and opinions after you have watched the movie.
