A 2000-Year-Old Strange Serpentine Mask Found Near The Base Of The Pyramid In Teotihuacan

Mexico is one of the most archaeologically rich countries in the world. Under the Pyramid of the Sun, numerous old gifts were unearthed this time.

Some researchers believe the mask might be a depiction of a specific individual during the period. The Sun Pyramid is the biggest building in Teotihuacan, which is said to date back to 100 BC.

Experts believe that objects such as masks were put there to signal the start of building. The three green stones were the most conspicuous of the several finds made there.

The National Institute of Archaeology has been investigating and inspecting the Pyramid for decades. They discovered seven human burial sites, including children’s graves. These ruins were among the oldest on the planet, dating back to before the Pyramid was built.

The green mask, according to Perez Cortes, belonged to a unique ceremonial honoring the Gods or the dead.
