5,000-Year-Old Ancient Crystal Dagger Was Found Inside a Prehistoric Tomb

Is there anything more perfect than a diamond? Or is there anything more attractive than a brightly colored gemstone? People have always been captivated by crystals, ever since they were first found, throughout history.

The precious stone was so valuable that different civilizations gave it titles based on how they were revered and became obsessed with them. They’re even mentioned in the Bible when it comes to the rebuilding of Jerusalem after the Apocalypse.

The interest in jewels may be traced back to the 3rd millennium BC, according to an excavation in Spain. A group of archaeologists unearthed three shrouds with amber beads and an “amazing collection” of crystal weaponry at the Valenciana de la Concepcion site.

The Monterilio tholos was dug between 2007 and 2010 and used as a burial ground. It was built out of enormous slate slabs. This site dates from a time when metal extraction was extremely significant.

However, the location from whence the weapons was retrieved has nothing to do with rock crystal formations, leading us to conclude that the crystals were imported from somewhere else.

It is unclear what those crystals are made of, however, reports claim that they may be discovered many kilometers outside of Valencia.

Official documents claim that the makers of these crystal weapons must have possessed some type of undiscovered knowledge, as it is impossible to understand how they were able to create such advanced weaponry.

The number of weapons discovered at the site is estimated to be ten arrowheads, four blades, and one large crystal rock.

It’s worth noting that, in addition to the weaponry, 20 bodies were discovered in the main room. They were buried with separate weapons that had nothing to do with the aforementioned crystal weapons, hence none of those weapons are related to them.

Perhaps people’s obsession with crystals and valuable stones in general stems from their spiritual significance, since ancient civilizations saw crystals as conduits between worlds.

To sum up, the official article claims that the crystal weapons are some form of burial gear available only to the period’s top strata.
